Zeke is back in Big D after just one season away. Ezekiel Elliott and the Dallas Cowboys have reached an agreement, pending a physical, bringing the former Pro Bowler back to Dallas, according to NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.
After visiting Dallas last Wednesday to discuss a potential deal, Elliott returned, and this time, an agreement was made. The Cowboys didn't address the running back position during the draft, but now they have Elliott back in their lineup.

Elliott, 28, was released by Dallas in the 2023 offseason and spent the last season with the New England Patriots. Although he led the Patriots in rushing yards with 642, his performance was considered average, with an average of only 3.5 yards per carry. Despite this, his return to Dallas brings hope, as he has a history of finding the end zone and excelling in pass protection.
Now, Elliott will join a backfield still in need of a true RB1, alongside Rico Dowdle, Deuce Vaughn, and Royce Freeman.
With Jerry Jones having declared that the team is "all-in" this year, Elliott's return might not be the big roster addition fans were hoping for, but it's sure to generate excitement. As the 'Boy is back in town, this could be his final ride, and it would be fitting to see him back in action with the star on his helmet.
